President’s Message
For me, belonging to a synagogue not only means having a place to worship and celebrate lifecycle events but also having a sense of community and a connection to my Jewish heritage. Congregation B’nai Israel has been that community to me, and when I walk in the door, I am “home.”
One of my goals during my term as President is to inspire members to want to fully participate in the life of this Congregation. We have many extraordinary and meaningful activities, educational, social and religious.
Judaism is a life-long journey, and our Congregation has members involved in adult learning opportunities, support of Israel, interfaith family activities, worship experiences and social events.
Synagogue affiliation is an important choice for many reasons, and those reasons are different for each of us. For all of us though, the B’nai Israel family becomes an extension of your family, where marriage, births, loss, B’nai Mitzvah, High Holy Days and passions for Judaism and the expression of Jewish values in every-day living are shared.
Congregation B’nai Israel is a dynamic, caring community that honors our Jewish tradition to continue the covenant while empowering members to explore relationships with God, Torah and the world around us.
L’Shalom,
Fred
